Researchers at USF are studying* how residents in the City of Tampa experience and care for trees in our urban forest. We are interested in what you think about the trees in your neighborhood and the City of Tampa’s plans to maintain trees across the area.
What do you think are the most important considerations for caring for Tampa’s trees? Have you noticed any changes in the environment related to trees? Are you concerned about how tree maintenance or removal is affecting your home, neighborhood, and city? Have you heard of the City’s Treemendous tree planting program, or would you like to learn more about it? Do you want to find more information about what to do when you need to remove a tree in your yard but are not sure where to start?
We want to learn more from you! We will be talking with residents in your community to understand your views about the City’s urban forest management plan.
If you would be willing to participate in an interview with us, held at a location of your choice (your home, coffee shop, or community center), please let us know. Adults over 18 are eligible and your responses and contact information will be kept confidential. Hearing honest opinions and personal stories from residents is a key component of the study. We will share results with residents, policy makers, urban planners, and community organizations.
