Characterization of N Loading from Transportation and Attenuation by Urban Vegetation

The City of Tampa (City), University of South Florida (USF), University of Florida (UF) and the UF-IFAS/ Hillsborough Extension Service (Extension) completed an ecological analysis of the City’s urban forest in 2006-2007. The project team of UF, USF, and EPA will work together to quantify the potential of roadside vegetated buffers and other vegetation communities to attenuate nitrogen loading from transportation sources in the Tampa Bay watershed.
