This project evaluated data from the recent Tampa Tree Canopy & Urban Forest Analysis and Urban Forest Management Plan to develop a Heat Resiliency Playbook, its purpose to create more equitable outcomes associated with mitigating the effects of extreme heat, by analyzing the accessibility and quality of parks and outdoor spaces, potential cooling centers, and other resources to generate equity-informed strategies within the City’s Parks & Recreation Master Plan and Urban Forest Management Plan.
